Thank you for your birthday wishes

Thank you for your birthday wishes it is much appreciated. I am humbled by the influx of messages in all forms.

I am truly thankful for your friendship, support and most of all your patience with me and my page, which is an outlet for my discontent.

I feel very grateful mostly to Eitan, Adam and above all to Hadas, who gives me a new birth of content, insight and above all feelings every day of my life.

I read a couple of days ago this disturbing article about our attitude towards Robots.

Since there are a couple of wonderful TV series (Humans, Westworld) dealing with this specific issue, It reminded me of a wonderful book by one of my favorite SciFi authors, A.E. van Vogt – Vault of the Beast.

In this wonderful story, Humanity is being saved by a Robot who was created and controlled by an alien master race:

The Robot: “I caught your thought . . . and kept it . . . from them”

“But why did you do it? Why?”

Robot (In his dying moments): “Because they were hurting me. They were going to destroy me. Because . . . I liked . . . being human. I was . . . somebody!”

Perhaps it is my age, my perspective, my fatherhood, I wish you all: health, compassion, and thankfulness for being Human with all that it entails.

We should always remember: there is somebody on the other side of the equation.

Bless you all

Dan
